April 2020 Challenge
For the month of April 2020 I challenged myself to create one Small fiber artwork each day month to celebrate SPRING, NEW GROWTH and the FUTURE. In my ongoing theme of recycling and re-purposing materials, in this series, I used my garden seed packets, candy wrappers and other "found goodies" as a focal point. Each piece was collaged with fabric, layered with other paper items, objects, tulle and energetically machine stitched. All works were for sale with 50% of the proceeds going to the Beacon Homeless Day Resource Center in Madison,WI
The Beacon provides a day-time place for a meal, laundry service, showers, computer access, support and more. You can find out more about the Beacon at: thebeaconhelps.org/about-us/
All pieces are matted and framed (9" x 11")and some are still available, and can be found in the Virtual Art Fair Portfolio
